Creativity For Wellbeing

IMG 20221107 WA0004
explore your journey in a creative and empowering way

Art therapy offers survivors a different way to explore emotions, identity and healing.

This is especially true when words feel difficult or not enough. You don’t need any artistic experience. This group is about expression, not perfection.

What the Group Covers

  1. Introduction & Identity
What to expect, a gentle look at identity and wellbeing.
  2. The Polyvagal Ladder
Understanding why our bodies respond to anxiety the way they do.
  3. Physical & Mental Health
Exploring how they’re connected, and how this knowledge can support us.
  4. Emotional Regulation
Learning techniques for recognising and regulating emotions.
  5. Environment & Wellbeing
Understanding how surroundings affect us, and practising regulation strategies.
  6. Self‑Care
Exploring how to meet our needs more effectively.
  7. Challenging Unhelpful Thinking
Recognising unhelpful thoughts and learning ways to move past them.
  8. Self‑Compassion & Endings
Reflecting on what you’ve learned and practising compassion toward yourself.

Why Art Therapy Helps

Art therapy gives survivors a place to breathe again, a space where colour, texture and creativity can help you make sense of feelings that are hard to put into words. It can help you reconnect with yourself, feel more grounded and build emotional resilience in a gentle, supported way.

Many survivors tell us they begin to feel:

  • Calmer and more centred
  • More connected to their bodies
  • Able to express emotions safely
  • More confident in their healing
  • Less alone

This group is a chance to explore your journey in a way that feels creative and empowering.
